Northwest PM Meet – Manchester

I completely forgot to blog about the Northwest PM meet last week. Perhaps the Perl scene in Manchester isn’t as lacking as we initially thought. Although there were only a few of us actually from Manchester.

Three interesting talks were given:

All the talks were fairly good and I’d recommend any other Perl devs (or even potential ones) show their faces. We’re friendlier than we look… honest ;)

The next meet is a social, again in Manchester.

Speaking as co-leader I can say I was glad to see new faces at the meeting and hope to see more at the social :) Hope you don’t mind but here is a link to Matt S. Trout’s talk: http://www.shadowcat.co.uk/archive/conference-video/nwepm/postgres/ – I will leave links to the others once they are online (which should be this week). Also please note that Paul Tipper co-presented the 16k user mailboxes – I called him Peter Somethingoranother on the night :)

Cheers Mark! I couldn’t for the life of me remember Paul’s Name, hence not being included.
